Green Day
21st Century Breakdown is the eighth studio album from the rock band Green Day and their first since American Idiot in 2004. Released in May of 2009 it debuted at number one on the Billboard album charts. Billie Joe Armstrong describes the album as a "snapshot of the era in which we live as we question and try to make sense of the selfish manipulation going on around us." 21st Century Breakdown was produced by Butch Vig.
