The band Sheriff formed in 1979 in Toronto. Members were vocalist Freddy Curci, guitarist Steve DeMarchi, keyboardist/rhythm guitarist Arnold Lanni, bassist Wolf Hassel and drummer Rob Elliott. The band had one full-length album, a self-titled 1982 release which included their most famous song "When I'm With You." The band broke up in 1985. Curci and DeMarchi went on to form the band Alias with some former members of Heart.
