What Was On Top?

"Crazy Little Thing Called Love" by Queen spent its fourth and last week at the top of the chart. It remains their most successful chart hit.

"Longer," the ballad by Dan Fogelberg," inched up a position to #2 while "Another Brick In The Wall" by Pink Floyd jumped from #6 to #3.

"Desire" by Andy Gibb and "On The Radio" by Donna Summer stalled at #4 and #5.

What Were The Big Movers?

"Call Me" by Blondie made another aggressive move up the chart jumping from #28 to #12. "Sexy Eyes" by Dr. Hook made a big jump into the top 40 from #48 to #31 - the leap of 17 notches was the biggest jump within the chart for the week.

Other songs jumping at least ten spots were "Outside My Window" by Stevie Wonder (#67 to #57), "Think About Me" by Fleetwood Mac (#79 to #66), "Love On A Shoestring" by The Captain & Tennille (#82 to #71), and "A Certain Girl" by Warren Zevon (#89 to #79).

The biggest dropper of the week was "Cruisin'" by Smokey Robinson which plummeted 53 places from #15 all the way down to #68.

What Was New?

The six debut songs for the week were led by "You May Be Right." The Billy Joel song was the lead single from his Glass Houses album and would go on to make the top ten. Also destined for the top ten was "Stomp!" by The Brothers Johnson which came in at #86.

The rest of the new entries included "Love's Only Love" by Engelbert Humperdinck (#84), "Let Me Be The Clock" by Smokey Robinson (#88), "Love On The Phone" by Suzanne Fellini (#89), and "High On Your Love" by Debbie Jacobs (#90).
